Rob BaileySeptember 1, 2024Holiness is the heartbeat of a life transformed by the Holy Spirit, guiding us to be Christlike in thought, action, and reaction. God, forgive us for thinking it was only about hairdos and hemlines! Forgive us for emphasizing outward appearances while at the same time demonstrating hatefulness, haughtiness, and hypocrisy. Forgive us, God, for harboring judgmental attitudes that fail to reflect Your love and for adopting holier-than-thou attitudes, rather than being clothed with genuine holiness with humility that sets us apart for Your service. May my attitude, my actions, and what keeps my attention reflect only who You are. 1 Peter 1:15-16 (NKJV): “But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct.” [...] Read more...
Rob BaileyAugust 12, 2024Character, integrity, and authenticity are three pillars that form the foundation of a person’s identity and reputation. They also cause fear to vanish, because there is nothing to hide! • Possessing strong character means having a set of values and principles that guide our actions and decisions, leading to a sense of reliability and trustworthiness in relationships. • Integrity, on the other hand, is the alignment between one’s words and actions, demonstrating honesty, transparency, and ethical behavior. It’s being consistent to the core. • Authenticity involves staying true to oneself, embracing individuality, and presenting a genuine version of oneself to the world. Together, these pillars build credibility, foster meaningful connections, and create a positive impact on others. [...] Read more...
Rob BaileyAugust 6, 2024On every page of the New Testament that speaks of Jesus, the quality that shines the most is His empathy. Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of others, to put oneself in someone else’s shoes, and to see the world from their perspective. Jesus consistently demonstrated empathy through his actions, reactions, and even interactions with others. When He showed up, He showed concern! When He showed up, the hungry were fed, sick folks were healed, and the broken were mended. When He showed up, lame men leaped, deaf people heard, blinded eyes were opened, and those bound in sinful captivity walked away forgiven and free. Our High Priest? According to Hebrews 4:15, He is touchable! Whether it was a sick woman pressing through to touch His tassel, a child being allowed to come unto Him, or even a doubting disciple touching His scars. Jesus was, is, and always will be touchable. Today, my prayer is to see the world through Jesus’ eyes, to hear what He hears, and for my heart to be moved by the things that move Him. -Rβ [...] Read more...
Rob BaileyJuly 30, 2024The incredible melody of the Gospel sets the pace for our journey – a race where we are not who we were, nor are we yet who we will be! Through the transforming power of the cross, we are constantly moving forward, growing, and becoming who we were created to be as the race progresses. We tune into the clarity of His voice, as the shouts of the world grow dimmer. Our journey of faith is not a sprint but a marathon filled with ups and downs, triumphs and struggles, celebrations and lamentations. And with every step we take, every stride forward, we draw closer to the finish line. Have we arrived? No, not yet fully apprehended. But if we are more Christlike today than we were yesterday, we are winning! 𝗔𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: 𝟭. 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙙𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙩. 𝟮. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Heb 12:2 KJV -Rβ [...] Read more...
